Ioan Petri

Ioan Petri currently serves as the Chief AI Officer and Inventor at Optimise AI since August 2023. Prior experience includes over a decade at Cardiff University, where Ioan has held various roles including Senior Lecturer, Member of the Urban Intelligence Centre, and Research Fellow focusing on Cloud Computing and Data Analytics. Additional engagements include a brief tenure as a Visiting Research Scholar at Rutgers University in 2014 and an internship in Distributed and Parallel Computing at Cardiff University. Prior to academia, Ioan worked as a Software Engineer for Cybercom Group and as a Research Associate specializing in mobile security and distributed systems at Babes-Bolyai University. Ioan holds a PhD in Cybernetics and Statistics from Babes-Bolyai University, along with an MSc in Information Systems and a BSc in Business Information Systems from the same institution.
