Cath B.

Cath B. is a highly experienced nursing professional with a strong background in children's healthcare. Currently semi-retired at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Cath has also served as an ad hoc specialist clinical advisor for the Care Quality Commission since May 2015. From April 2016 to August 2019, Cath was the National Clinical Specialist for Children & Young People at Spire Southampton Hospital, where responsibilities included establishing quality standards for children's care across 34 hospitals. Prior experience includes a decade-long role as Senior Matron at Southampton Children's Hospital, overseeing a workforce of over 400 children's nurses and leading patient and family engagement initiatives. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Quality Improvement in Healthcare from Swansea University and an RGN/RSCN qualification from the Wolfson School of Nursing.
