David MacLennan

Dave MacLennan is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in leadership and financial management. Currently serving as the Principal Owner at Blue Skye Executive Advisors LLC, MacLennan offers executive coaching and advisory services to private sector executives. MacLennan holds multiple board positions, including memberships at CARE, Bechtel Corporation, Caterpillar Inc., Amherst College, and Ecolab, where a lead director role is held. Previously, MacLennan held various leadership positions at Cargill, including Executive Chair of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, overseeing significant operations within Cargill Energy, Protein, and Food Ingredients. Earlier career roles include President of Fixed Income at Piper Sandler and CFO positions within Cargill’s Financial Services group. MacLennan earned an MBA in Finance from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and multiple BA degrees in English Language and Literature from Amherst College.
