Kate Maina-Vorley

Kate Maina-Vorley currently serves as the Regional Director of East and Central Africa (ECA) region for CARE. With over 25 years in international development, Kate has worked with a range of INGOs and both bilateral and multi-lateral donor agencies providing organizational and regional leadership in Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Somalia, and others. She worked as regional director, chief of party, country director, and specialist advisor.

Kate brings with her strong experience in strategic leadership, localization, governance, programming, organizational change management, networking, and strategic influencing for humanitarian and development programs.

She is a passionate advocate with a track record for social and gender justice.

Kate holds an MBA (Honours) from Durham University, United Kingdom, and a B.Ed. from Moi University Kenya.
