MacBeth Makarutse

Macbeth Makarutse serves as the Regional Change & Deployment Manager for East, Central and Southern Africa at CARE since August 2021, leading organizational change initiatives across 15 country offices. Makarutse is also the Project Lead for the Global Diversity, Equity, Belonging & Inclusion (DEBI) initiative at CARE USA, collaborating with six global regions to enhance an inclusive culture. Previously, Makarutse held significant roles at CARE International in Zimbabwe, including People & Organisational Development Lead and Human Resources Manager, overseeing the HR functions and fostering a positive organizational culture. Makarutse has also contributed to Childline Zimbabwe as a Human Resources Technical Sub-Committee Member and previously served as the Human Resources & Organisational Development Manager. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from Midlands State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Zimbabwe.
