James L. Johnson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. James L. began their career at Schmalbach-Lubeca in 1989 as a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator, where they worked for over a decade. In 2000, they transitioned to I.S.A. On Site Stores Provider as a Purchasing Agent for a year before moving on to Ministry of Caring in 2001. At Ministry of Caring, they served as a Site Coordinator for three years. In 2004, they joined Maximus, Inc. as a Marketing Coordinator and stayed for four years. Finally, in 2007, they began working at Career T.E.A.M. LLC as the Vice President of Employer Engagement, a position they currently hold.

James L. Johnson completed an Associate's degree in Business Administration from Delaware Technical and Community College from 2001 to 2002. Additionally, they obtained various certificates, including a Certificate of Participation from the Delaware Coalition against Domestic Violence in June 2002 and another Certificate of Participation from the Targeted Provider Education Demonstration Project in March 2002. Furthermore, they received certifications in Behavioral Counseling and Decision Making from the Delaware Department of Corrections in July 1994, as well as a Certified Threshold Instructor certification from the same institution in April 1994.
