Robert Boone, Ed.D., MPA has extensive work experience in various industries. Robert currently holds the position of Chief Officer, National Workforce Solutions at Career TEAM LLC since February 2021. Prior to this, from August 2017 to February 2021, they served as the President/CEO of South Central Workforce Development Board, where they successfully increased recurring revenue by over $1.5 million within the first year.
From September 2016 to September 2020, Robert held the role of Chair/Workforce Development Advisor at ACT, Inc. Kentucky Council. During this time, they played a vital role in supporting and promoting education and career planning, coordinating professional development opportunities, and communicating research on college and work readiness trends.
Robert's work experience also includes being the Founding Director of the Center for Career Development and Experiential Learning at KCTCS from October 2011 to July 2017. In this role, they conceptualized and developed the center, overseeing key programs related to workplace-centered learning, corporate training, and job placement.
Additionally, Robert has experience in local government as a Commissioner for the City of Maysville from January 2015 to January 2017. Robert oversaw an annual budget of over 12 million dollars and was involved in economic development and city branding efforts.
Earlier in their career, Robert served as the Director of Restorative and Therapeutic Activities at PruittHealth from August 2008 to August 2010, where they managed the department and developed experiential learning programming.
Their work experience also includes being a Research Assistant/Project Manager at The University of Georgia from August 2004 to August 2008, where they conducted research in the areas of I/O Psychology, Social Psychology, and Cognitive Psychology.
Robert started their career as an Intern at Toyota Motor Corporation in May 2004, where they received specialized training in the Toyota method of production.
