Sara Sussman Bohlayer

Sara Sussman Bohlayer has extensive legal experience, currently serving as Managing Assistant General Counsel at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield since December 2018. Bohlayer has held various roles at CareFirst, including Director of Contracts Management and Counsel, and Acting Director of Procurement Contracts Management. Prior to this, Bohlayer was a Senior Contracts Associate at Johns Hopkins University and a Senior Administrator for Clinical and Corporate Contracts at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Additionally, Bohlayer has worked in legal capacities at Funk & Bolton, P.A., the University of Baltimore Community Development Clinic, and The Johns Hopkins Health System, among others. Bohlayer holds a JD from the University of Baltimore School of Law and a BA in History, International Studies, and French from Towson University, with additional education at L'Institut Catholique de Paris.
