Christian Walen has extensive work experience in various leadership roles within the healthcare and consulting industries. Christian is currently the Group CEO at Careium, where they lead a team of approximately 1,000 colleagues across multiple countries. Careium focuses on enabling rich and fulfilling lives for seniors through innovative hardware, software, and services.
In addition to their role at Careium, Christian has also served as a Board Member at the company. Prior to their current position, they were the Chairman of the Board at Hundra HQ, a company that digitizes diversity and inclusion practices for clients using science, advanced analytics, and technology.
Christian has also held significant positions at other companies. At Kry, a technology-enabled healthcare unicorn, they were the CEO of PBM (Primary Behavioral Medicine) and Head of B2B & Mental health. In this role, they were responsible for driving business, innovation, and results across B2B operations, as well as leading global efforts in mental health across all markets.
Before joining Kry, Christian was the Group CEO at PBM Sweden AB, a company focused on driving sustainable change using evidence-based applied behavioral psychology. Christian led a team of over 300 employees and worked on various projects related to behavior change, sustainable working life, and leadership.
Additionally, Christian has experience as a Member of the Board of Directors at Alva Labs, a people analytics platform, and as a Senior Manager at Accenture, where they led efforts in organizational strategy, change management, and HR transformation for Swedish products businesses.
Earlier in their career, Christian was the CEO of Assessio, a management consulting firm that focused on organizational outcomes through people, leadership, and associated structures and processes. Christian also held roles as a Business Area Manager/Managing Consultant at Assessio and as a Consultant within the industry, finance, and retail team.
Before entering the consulting industry, Christian worked as a psychologist at WeMind HVB, where they provided assessment, treatment, and supervision for individuals and groups. Christian also worked as a PTP-Psychologist at Stockholms Läns Landsting, where they focused on assessment, treatment, education, and research with patients suffering from psychosis and comorbid disorders.
Throughout their career, Christian has demonstrated a strong focus on leveraging psychology and technology to drive positive change, both in healthcare and organizational settings.
Christian Walen obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Financial analysis from the Stockholm School of Economics, where they studied from 2016 to 2017. Prior to this, they earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Psychology from Linköping University, between 2003 and 2008.

Doro Care develops and sells electronic products, primarily in the telecommunications sector. Its products include Telecom in Care Electronics, which provides mobile phones, cordless and corded phones, remote controls, alarm clocks and headsets, among others, mHealth, which provides mobile-based services in the health sector, such as Doro 3.0, themobile application for Android telephones, and CareTech, entailing information technology (IT) solutions like IT outsourcing and Web products and services such as content management as well as document management, among others. This range of products is available through several sales channels, including telecom operators and retailers in more than 40 countries. Jan-Erik Larsson founded CareTech on February 28, 1990 until its merger with Doro as Doro Care, with its headquarters in Kalix in Sweden and a branch in the United Kingdom.
