Michael Kirn

Michael Kirn is a seasoned professional in the aviation industry with extensive experience in ground engineering and aircraft systems. Currently serving as Manager of Ground Engineering and Compliance Verification Engineer for Cargolux Airlines since April 2018, Michael has been responsible for compliance verification activities related to minor repairs and modifications within the organization's Design Organization Approval (DOA). Prior to this role, Michael was a Design Engineer in aircraft systems at Cargolux Airlines, where involvement included compliance with EASA regulations. Michael also held managerial positions at Emirates and served Cargolux Airlines in various engineering roles from 2005 to 2015. Michael earned a Dipl. Ing. degree in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University between 1998 and 2005.
