Fouzia Fazel has extensive work experience in the biotech industry. Fouzia started their career in 2003 as a Manufacturing Technician in Cell Culture at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. Over the years, they took on increasing levels of responsibility and gained experience, eventually progressing to the role of Supervisor of Cell Culture Manufacturing. In this role, they supervised staff and oversaw the production of commercial enzyme replacement therapies. Fouzia then worked as a Senior Supervisor of Quality Assurance, Manager of Quality Assurance CMO, and Senior Manager of Quality Control Viral Vector Analytical at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. In 2023, they joined Bellicum Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as the Associate Director of Quality Assurance, followed by becoming the Director of Quality Assurance at Caribou Biosciences.
