Matthew Oberley

Dr. Matthew Oberley joined Caris in 2019 where he helped manage the Caris Precision Oncology Alliance™ before taking on the role of Executive Medical Director. In this role, Dr. Oberley provides medical leadership for the Caris Life Sciences laboratory and guides medical strategies for innovative precision medicine and tumor profiling services in the clinical and research settings.

Prior to Caris, Dr. Oberley was a faculty member at the University of Southern California and Director of Hematopathology at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. His research interests include managing genetic, pathologic and clinical data to drive better outcomes for patients with cancer. Dr. Oberley earned his MD and PhD from the University of Wisconsin–Madison School of Medicine and Public Health and is board certified in Anatomic, Clinical and Hematopathology.
