Dr. Benjamin Viering has a diverse work experience in various roles. Dr. Benjamin began their career at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) / University of Karlsruhe (TH) as a Research Associate in Production Science from September 2007 to January 2011. Dr. Benjamin then became a Group Leader / Chief Engineer for Production Systems from February 2011 to October 2012.
In October 2012, Dr. Viering joined ZEISS Group as an Executive Assistant to the CEO until June 2015. Dr. Benjamin then transitioned to the role of Head of marketing and business strategy from July 2015 to October 2016. In November 2016, they became the Head of Strategic Corporate Development until October 2019. Dr. Benjamin then took on the position of Chief Operating Officer Vision Care starting November 2019 and is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer Vision Care since October 2022.
Dr. Benjamin Viering obtained a doctorate and a diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).
