Petra Mitzel

Petra Mitzel has a diverse work experience in various roles related to procurement and management. Petra began their career at Airbus Defence and Space as an Assistant to the Chief Operating Officer, where they provided support in daily business operations and conducted process optimization projects. Petra later joined Airbus Helicopters as a Commercial Manager and was responsible for program planning and controlling activities, as well as building partnerships with US companies. Petra then moved on to Airbus Group, where they served as a Procurement Manager and later as the Head of Procurement for Orbital Bids & Programmes Bremen, overseeing sourcing and supply-chain matters for space programs. Petra also worked at Circle Networks as a Contracts and Commercial Advisor, focusing on concept preparation for financing and contract review. Currently, Petra is with ZEISS Medical Technology, where they hold the position of Head of Global Strategic Procurement, leading a global team of strategic buyers and implementing new procurement processes. Overall, Petra Mitzel's work experience has provided their with a strong background in procurement, leadership, and strategic planning.

Petra Mitzel received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Cooperative Education, Vilingen-Schwenningen, from 2001 to 2004. Later, they pursued a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in Commercial Law and Restructuring from the University of Münster from 2012 to 2014.
