Alex Gillis is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in writing, editing, and production across various organizations. Currently serving as the Video Writer, Interviewer, Director, and Producer at Rideau Hall Foundation since February 2021, Alex creates videos highlighting the Governor General's Innovation Award winners and the foundation's initiatives. In addition to this role, Alex has been the Editorial Manager at Carleton University since July 2020, focusing on editorial direction and multimedia content for the Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership graduate program. Previous positions include Senior Writer & Researcher at CIRA, Senior Writer at CanadaHelps, and Director of Communications at the Stephen Lewis Foundation, among others. Alex holds a BA in International Development Studies from the University of Toronto and a BA in Journalism from Ryerson University.
