David J Hornsby

David J Hornsby currently serves as Vice-Provost & Associate Vice-President (Academic) and Associate Vice-President (Teaching & Learning) at Carleton University since September 2018, while also holding the position of Professor of International Affairs at The Norman Paterson School of International Affairs since October 2018. Prior experience includes serving as Head of Department and Associate Professor & Deputy Head of Department for Education at the UCL Department of Science, Technology, Engineering and Public Policy at University College London from September 2017 to October 2018, and as Associate Professor of International Relations & Assistant Dean of Humanities at the University of the Witwatersrand from September 2009 to September 2017. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Politics and International Studies from the University of Cambridge (2010), a Master's degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Guelph (2006), and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of Guelph (2004). Early education was completed at SJK School, where a High School Diploma was earned.
