Gitte Lindgaard serves as Professor Emeritus at Swinburne University of Technology since April 2018, focusing research on affective neuroscience, having extensively engaged with the works of neuroscientist Jaak Panksepp. As a Distinguished Research Professor and NSERC Industry Research Chair at Carleton University, Gitte also directs the Human-Oriented Technology Lab. Gitte Lindgaard leads Gitte Lindgaard & Associates Pty. Ltd. as CEO since July 1995 and previously held the role of Professor in Neuroaffective Design at Swinburne University from 2011 to March 2014. Earlier career experience includes serving as Principal Scientist at Telstra from December 1983 to July 1995. Gitte holds a Diploma in Freelance Journalism from the Australian Institute of Journalism and earned a BSc (Hons), MSc, and PhD in Experimental Psychology from Monash University.
