Richard Johnston

Richard Johnston is an experienced coach and director in the field of track and field, currently serving as Head Coach and Director at Ottawa Lions Track and Field Club Inc. since September 2020, alongside roles as Head Coach for Track & Field and Cross Country at both the University of Ottawa and Carleton University since September 2018. Johnston's coaching career began with a position as Co-Head Coach at the University of Windsor, where responsibilities included recruiting and managing logistics for collegiate programs. Previous roles include Assistant Track and Field Coach at the University of Windsor and Student Team Manager, demonstrating a strong foundation in coaching and team management. Johnston also contributed to the International Children's Games as Site Manager and gained retail experience as a Sales Representative at Running Free. Johnston holds a Bachelor of Movement Science in Human Kinetics/Kinesiology from the University of Windsor.
