Sujoy Sen earned a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. Sujoy attended the institution from 1991 to 1995. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business from Penn State University, completing their studies from 2002 to 2005.
Sujoy also obtained several certifications. In December 2013, they received the ASQ-Certified Six Sigma Green Belt from ASQ. In March 2022, they obtained certification in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) from the Association for Supply Chain Management. Additionally, they earned an edX Honor Code Certificate for Tackling the Challenges of Big Data, which took place from July 7, 2015, to August 18, 2015.
