Florian Kock

Carlsberg Foundation Fellow at Carlsberg Foundation

Florian Kock currently serves as a Professor of Management (Tourism and Hospitality) and Director of the Center for Tourism and Hospitality Management at Copenhagen Business School since January 2018, after holding various positions in Marketing and Tourism Management at the same institution. Kock is a Carlsberg Foundation Fellow and a referee for both the Israel Science Foundation and the Research Council of Norway. Previous experience includes a visiting faculty position at the University of Michigan and roles in branding at Nestlé and Loacker, as well as national park ranger work with WWF. Kock holds multiple degrees, culminating in a Ph.D. in Consumer Psychology from RMIT University and has pursued management studies at prestigious institutions, including Copenhagen Business School and WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business).

Carlsberg Foundation was founded in 1876 by brewer JC Jacobsen. In 1882 he transferred his brewery, Old Brewery, to the foundation. Thus he wanted to ensure the brewery's future.
