Omar Khan is a distinguished academic in the field of architecture, currently serving as Professor and Head of the School of Architecture at Carnegie Mellon University since August 2020. Prior to this role, Omar Khan held various positions at the University at Buffalo, including Associate Professor, Chair of the Department of Architecture, and Assistant Professor from 2003 to 2020. In addition, Omar co-directed the Sustainable Manufacturing and Advanced Robotic Technologies (SMART) initiative and the Center of Architecture and Situated Technologies (CAST) at the University at Buffalo. Omar Khan contributed to the ACADIA Steering Committee from 2008 to 2010. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Architecture and Media Arts from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1999-2001) and a Bachelor of Architecture in Design and Computation from Cornell University (1987-1992).
