Associate Professor - Dramaturgy at Carnegie Mellon University

TJ Young, M.F.A., serves as an Associate Professor of Dramaturgy and Special Visiting Faculty at Carnegie Mellon University since August 2021. Current roles include Chair of the Region 2 New Play Program for the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival and Teaching Artist at City Theatre Company. Active in the arts field since 2006, TJ Young has worked as a writer, dramaturg, and director while also holding positions at Bricolage Production Company and Quantum Theatre. Previous teaching experience includes adjunct instructor roles at Westminster College (PA) and Texas State University. TJ Young holds an MFA in Playwriting and Screenwriting from Texas State University and a BA in English from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
