Kenny Riley

Senior Director, Out-of-School-Time Programs at Carole Robertson Center for Learning

Kenny Riley serves as the Director of Out of School Time Programs at Carole Robertson Center for Learning since January 2019 and has been a Program Manager at MAPSCorps since May 2017, focusing on training youth to collect quality data on community assets. Previously, Kenny worked at YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago from 2014 to January 2017, where responsibilities included designing workforce development pathways for over 3000 teens and enhancing program quality across multiple sites. At Umoja Student Development Corporation from March 2010 to March 2014, Kenny specialized in restorative justice, significantly reducing suspensions and establishing conflict resolution spaces. Prior experience includes serving as Lead Recreation Therapist at Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, where Kenny implemented therapeutic sessions for adolescents with various mental health diagnoses. Kenny holds a Master’s degree in Community Development from North Park University and two Bachelor’s degrees in Therapeutic Recreation from Grand Valley State University.
