Amber Schmidt is a seasoned healthcare professional with extensive experience in hospice and case management. Currently serving as Clinical Team Leader at Carolina Caring since September 2021, Amber manages a multidisciplinary team, ensuring compliance with regulations and overseeing patient care coordination. Previously, Amber held the position of Team Leader at Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, where responsibilities included leading a healthcare team and managing patient admissions. Roles at Select Specialty Hospital as Director of Case Management and at APS Healthcare as Clinical Supervisor further demonstrate strong leadership skills and clinical expertise. Amber's foundational experience as a Staff RN includes tenures at Hershey Medical Center, where clinical assessments and collaboration with medical teams were key components of care delivery. Amber holds a Bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing from Cedar Crest College, earned between 2002 and 2005.

Carolina Caring was founded in 1979 by volunteers dedicated to providing end of life care for both patients and families residing in Catawba County, North Carolina and its surrounding counties. Today, our team of professionals and volunteers serves more than 300 hospice patients. Our Mission is to provide world class, compassionate care by engaging all individuals and their families to enhance living. A comprehensive program of medical care, counseling, and spiritual support for patients and families is offered regardless of diagnosis, age, gender, nationality, race, faith, sexual preference, disability, or ability to pay. Carolina Caring is licensed by the state of North Carolina, certified by Medicare and Medicaid, is nationally accredited, and complies with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act privacy practices.
