Dan Fike

Dan Fike is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in high-profile technology companies. Currently serving as Deputy to the CTO and Principal Engineer at Carta since May 2019, Dan focuses on strategic, cultural, and technical challenges during a period of significant growth for the company. Prior to Carta, Dan held various engineering roles at Google, contributing to query processing frameworks and static analysis tools. Dan's experience includes a tenure as Principal Software Engineer at Yahoo, where Dan developed administration tools for Hadoop Grid, and serving as CTO of Apropose, an innovative startup based on machine learning research. Earlier career stages involved roles at Volition, Motorola, and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, providing a solid foundation in software engineering and project management. Dan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
