Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies is accepting applications for a full-time Security Guard position, 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., Mondays - Fridays, in Millbrook, NY.
Duties include:performing periodic checks of all buildings to make sure property and buildings are secure. Confirm that heat and other mechanical systems are operating. Patrol Cary Institute roadways during assigned hours; approach visitors as necessary to assure compliance with access policy. Complete written security report for each shift worked.
Qualifications include: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid New York State Security Guard license, plus one year experience. Must possess good communication skills and the ability to deal with the public effectively. Applicants with state/ national parks or wildlife experience a plus. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
This is a full-time, salaried, non-exempt, unionized and benefited position. Attractive health benefits and paid time off package.
