Doug Baden started their work experience in 1988 as a Database Administrator/Systems Manager at Heritage Environmental Services. Doug wrote various systems and performed UNIX systems management and Oracle database administration tasks. In 1991, they joined Bryant Computing Services as a Senior Associate, where they implemented a version control system and designed an unemployment tax grouping system. Additionally, they tested a retail system and wrote user documentation. In 1993, they worked as an Associate at Information Control Corporation, primarily focusing on moving a product from an IBM mainframe to the AIX platform and designing and implementing new features. Doug also supported and maintained an older system. From 1994 to 2015, Doug worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Online Computer Library Center where they designed, implemented, and debugged various technologies, including HTML, JavaScript, Java, C, and others. Doug also worked with the Spring AOP Framework and designed and implemented a billing system. In 2016, they joined CAS as a Senior System Engineer.
Doug Baden is currently enrolled in a Masters in Computer Science program at Franklin University, which they started in 2013 and is expected to complete in 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a B.S. in Applied Science with a focus on Computer Systems Analysis from Miami University, which they completed from 1983 to 1986. Additionally, Doug has acquired several certifications including "Learning Nagios," "Learning SSH," "Learning TypeScript," "Node.js Essential Training," "Building a Home IT Lab," "IntelliJ IDEA Community Edition Essential Training," and "Python Essential Training" from LinkedIn. The certifications were obtained between 2021 and 2022.
