Andrea McKenna has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Andrea started their career at MEA Forensic Engineers & Scientists in 2008, where they worked as a Project Engineer until 2011. After that, they joined The MathWorks as a Technical Content Specialist from 2011 to 2015. Andrea then joined Envista Forensics in 2015 as a Project Consultant, where they managed and executed post-loss investigations of commercial and industrial electrical/mechanical systems. Andrea provided advisory services to legal and insurance professionals on equipment failure causes, valuation, repair options, and code compliance. In 2020, Andrea joined Cascade Energy, Inc as an Industrial Energy Efficiency Outreach Engineer. Andrea was responsible for delivering technical outreach, project development, engineering review, and marketing services for industrial energy efficiency projects. Recently, they took on the role of Program Manager, leading a cross-functional team in designing and implementing utility DSM program offerings for the industrial segment.
Andrea McKenna has a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University. Andrea also holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto.
Additionally, Andrea has obtained several certifications. In October 2019, they completed the "New Manager Foundations" and "Sustainability Strategies" certifications from LinkedIn. Andrea also holds the title of Professional Engineer from both The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA), obtained in May 2016, and Engineers and Geoscientists BC, obtained in March 2010.
