F. E. has extensive experience in clinical leadership and mental health services, currently serving as the Clinical Director of the Pretrial Services Department at The Center for Alternative Sentencing and Employment Services (CASES) since February 2017. F. E. previously held roles such as Program Director and Clinical Supervisor within the Pretrial Services Department, effectively directing services that address the legal and biopsychosocial needs of participants while promoting social change and reducing recidivism. Additional clinical experience includes multiple psychotherapist positions at various organizations from 2009 to 2020, as well as internships focusing on domestic violence services and research in social psychology. F. E. holds a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from The City College of New York and a Bachelor’s degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College.

The mission of CASES is to increase the understanding and use of community sanctions that are fair, affordable, and consistent with public safety. CASES serves nearly 4,000 individuals annually in programs lasting anywhere from one day to more than two years. Their programs are aimed at high-need populations, including young people, adults with mental illness, and chronic misdemeanants who are homeless, drug-addicted, or underemployed.
