Michael Brant has extensive experience in mental health and substance abuse treatment, currently serving as a Clinical Supervisor at CAMBA Atlantic House Men's Shelter since May 2019, where responsibilities include providing treatment for individuals with co-occurring disorders. Additionally, Michael has been a Substance Abuse Specialist with CASES since October 2012 and previously worked as an Interventionist for the Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene from November 2011 to August 2012, conducting brief interventions for those at risk of drug addiction. Michael holds a Master of Science in Psychology from the University of Phoenix (2008-2012) and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Economics from Benedict College (1982-1987).

The mission of CASES is to increase the understanding and use of community sanctions that are fair, affordable, and consistent with public safety. CASES serves nearly 4,000 individuals annually in programs lasting anywhere from one day to more than two years. Their programs are aimed at high-need populations, including young people, adults with mental illness, and chronic misdemeanants who are homeless, drug-addicted, or underemployed.
