Melissa Shields, SHRM-SCP, SPHR has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations. Melissa started their career as an HR Generalist at Qualis Health in 2001 and worked there until 2004. From 2004 to 2005, they served as a Sr. Compensation & Benefits Analyst at Providence Health & Services. Melissa then joined Getty Images in 2005 and held the position of Global Compensation & Benefits Manager until 2010. During this time, they gained expertise in managing compensation and benefits programs on a global scale. In 2010, Melissa joined Casey Family Programs as a Senior Director Human Resources. Melissa provided strategic and operational HR support and managed a team until 2015 when they transitioned into the role of Managing Director Human Resources. In this position, Melissa continued to oversee HR functions and provide consultation to work units within the organization. Melissa's work experience demonstrates their extensive knowledge and experience in HR management and their ability to provide strategic guidance and support to organizations.
Melissa Shields, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, has a diverse education history. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Psychology from Troy University. Additionally, they obtained a second Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) in Resource Management/HR Management from the same institution. Melissa also holds an Associate of Science degree (AS) in Bioenvironmental Engineering, which they obtained from the U.S. College of the Air Force. Melissa has further enhanced their qualifications through professional certifications. Melissa obtained the SHRM-SCP certification from SHRM in May 2015 and the SPHR certification in September 2014.
