Mike Chekal

Mike Chekal is an experienced professional in platform engineering and data management, currently serving as Manager of Platform Engineering at Casey's since April 2023. Previously, Mike held the position of Manager of Enterprise Data Management & Architecture at Mutual of Omaha from August 2021 to March 2023, and worked as Technical Customer Success Manager at Teradata for a short period in June to August 2021. Mike's extensive experience includes roles such as Director of IT Engineering Enterprise Data at Sammons Financial Group Companies and Manager of Enterprise Data Lake Platform & Services at Mutual of Omaha. Mike also served as a Business Intelligence Architect at NTT Security and held various senior management positions, including Senior Manager Decision Analytics at Union Pacific Railroad, where Mike worked for over three decades. Mike began a career in technology as a Systems Engineer at EDS Group after earning a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Iowa and an Associate of Arts degree from Mount St. Clare College.
