Gary Steinhart

is a senior partner in the Business Law Group at Cassels. Gary has a strong corporate/commercial practice with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, commercial agreements, financing transactions, business structuring, shareholder disputes and reorganizations. He is counsel for the Canadian units of several multi-national corporations and has extensive experience in cross-border transactions. Gary represents businesses in a wide array of industries such as construction products, information technology, and food processing. Throughout his career, he has also represented a number of real estate-focused businesses and has acted on the acquisition, sale, financing and syndication of several hotels, student housing, sports and entertainment facilities, seniors’ residences, and real estate brokerages.
