David Sheril

Mr. Sheril serves as Castle Lanterra’s General Counsel, with overall responsibility for the firm’s legal affairs and management of outside counsel and is a member of Castle Lanterra’s Executive Committee. Specifically, Mr. Sheril provides legal guidance for acquisitions, dispositions, asset/property management, joint ventures, and financings. In addition, Mr. Sheril provides legal support with respect to fundraising, investor relations, and corporate governance and compliance matters.

Prior to joining Castle Lanterra, Mr. Sheril was with Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP and Hahn & Hessen LLP, where he focused on asset acquisition and financing, commercial and business litigation, insurance, and bankruptcy. Mr. Sheril has also served as a judicial intern for The Honorable James A. Yates in the Commercial Division of the New York Supreme Court, New York County.

Mr. Sheril received his J.D., with honors, from St John’s University School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Sheril served as an Articles Editor on the St. John’s Law Review and as the Senior Consultant of the St. John’s Law Writing Center. Mr. Sheril is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey.
