Jen Poyer CSEP has a diverse work experience in event planning and management. Jen started their career as an Account Executive at That's Cool Events, where they designed event decor and solutions for clients. Jen then worked as Group Sales at the Queen Mary Hotel and Donor Services at South Coast Repertory. Jen also has experience in the nonprofit sector, serving as a Director of the International Board of Governors at the International Live Events Association (ILEA) and as a Director at the Catalina Island Conservancy. At ILEA, they received the Mettle Attitude Leadership Award for their work on the certification committee and played a key role in revamping content development for the annual conference. The mission of the Catalina Island Conservancy is to be an exemplary steward of Island resources through a balance of conservation, education and recreation. Through its ongoing efforts, the Conservancy protects the magnificent natural and cultural heritage of Santa Catalina Island, stewarding approximately 42,000 acres of land, 50 miles of rugged shoreline, an airport, and more than 200 miles of roads. Twenty miles from the mainland, the Island is a treasure trove of historical and archeological sites, and numerous rare and endangered animals and plants.
