Sergey Sandler started their career in 1996 as a Sr. Software Engineer at Telstra, where they worked until 1999. Sergey then joined Tennyson Technology as a Sr. Software Engineer, contributing to the SOX unified messaging project and TAPI service provider. In 2001, Sergey joined Insureware as a Sr. Software Engineer and Statistician, where they stayed for fifteen years. In 2016, they joined Catapult Sports as a Data Software Engineer and Data Scientist.
Sergey Sandler has a Master's degree in Applied Econometrics from Monash University, which they obtained from 2007 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (Hons) from Moscow Institute of Economics and Statistics between the years 1982 and 1986.
In addition to their formal education, Sergey has obtained several certifications. In August 2022, they received a Snowflake DB certification from Linkedin Learning. In February 2020, they completed the "AWS Computer Vision: Getting Started with GluonCV" course and obtained a certification from Coursera. In October 2019, they earned a certification in "Modern Application Development with AWS" from Amazon Web Services (AWS). Furthermore, Sergey completed the "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" course and obtained a certification from Coursera in December 2017.
