Mikelis Studers is the CEO and co-founder of Catchbox, the world's first throwable microphone, a position held since September 2012. Prior experience includes serving as an Electronics Engineer at Aalto Design Factory from September 2010 to December 2012, where responsibilities involved managing education and industry collaboration projects and consulting on electronics and embedded system design. Mikelis also worked as an FPGA System Designer at SAF Tehnika JSC for a brief period in 2010 and contributed to nanotechnology research as a research assistant at Latvijas Universitāte between 2007 and 2009. Mikelis Studers holds a Master of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Aalto University (2009-2013) and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Science, Electronics from Rīgas Tehniskā Universitāte (2006-2009). Additional educational pursuits included a brief program at the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga in November 2022.
