Casey Cathcart has a diverse work experience that spans over different industries. In 2007, Casey started as an Associate at Stern Brothers & Co. and later transitioned to KeyBanc Capital Markets, where they served as a Senior Associate from 2009 to 2013. In 2014, Casey joined Fitch Ratings as an Associate Director before co-founding Cathcart Rail in 2016. At Cathcart Rail, Casey served as Co-Founder and President until December 2020. They have played a crucial role in establishing Cathcart Rail as a leading freight rail services company with an extensive network of repair facilities, field services locations, and rail services.
Casey Cathcart pursued higher education at Lindenwood University. From 2002 to 2006, Casey completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science and Mathematics. Subsequently, from 2006 to 2007, Casey obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a specialization in Finance.

Cathcart Rail is a leading freight rail services and transportation company. The company currently operates the largest railcar services network, encompassing 18 repair facilities and over 75 field services locations, as well as a rail services division that operates three shortline railroads and a dozen contract switching and transloading sites, among other services such as railcar storage, track maintenance, and railcar parts. Cathcart Rail was founded in February 2016 by the father and son team of Thomas Cathcart and Casey Cathcart, and currently employs nearly 1,000 people across 110+ locations in 33 states.
