Christina Tabata is a seasoned professional in food safety and quality assurance, currently serving as the Senior Director of Food Safety at CAVA since May 2023. Prior experience includes the role of Director of Quality Assurance and Food Safety at Rubio's Restaurants, Inc. from July 2019 to April 2023, and involvement as a Board Member at AIBI Certification Services from 2019 to 2023. Christina's extensive background at Taco Bell spans over 14 years, where various roles included Senior Manager of Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory, as well as managerial and scientific positions in food safety and quality assurance. Prior to Taco Bell, Christina held the position of Senior Quality Technologist at Yum! Brands. Educationally, Christina earned a degree in Animal Science with a focus on Pre-Veterinary Studies from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, completed in 2004.
