Leigh Rathbone has a diverse work experience in engineering and quality management roles. Starting in 2008, Leigh worked as a Section Test Manager at Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications International AB before moving on to become a Senior Manager at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe in 2009. In 2012, Leigh joined System C Healthcare as Head of QA - QA Manager and later moved to Think Money Group in 2014 as Head of Test - Test Manager. Leigh then played a key role as Co-Founder of Liverpool Tester Gathering (Meetup) from 2016 to 2019. In 2015, Leigh joined The Very Group as Testing Principal, where they also held the position of Stand Out Program - Digital Transformation Enabler from 2016 to 2017. Leigh held positions at TLA, Gear4Music Ltd., and cinch as Head of Software Quality Engineering, Head of Quality Engineering, and Engineering Manager, respectively. Currently, Leigh is serving as the Head of Quality Engineering at CAVU since 2023.

Leigh Rathbone obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Quantitative Methods in Business from Teesside University in 1993. Prior to that, from 1988 to 1990, Leigh attended Cadbury Sixth Form for A levels. Leigh's education history also includes attending hall green from 1983 to 1988. Additionally, Leigh has obtained several certifications including CMI Unit 3009 Management communication, CMI Unit 3008 Improving Team Performance, Prince2™ Foundation Certificate, ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management, ISTQB® Certified Tester, Advanced Level Test Manager, ITIL® Intermediate Certificate Continual Service Improvement, and ISEB® Foundation Certificate in Software Testing.
