Rylan Uherek

Rylan Uherek began their work experience in 2013 as a Tech Program Associate at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where they developed code for various order management functions. Rylan joined Cboe Global Markets in 2014 as a Software Engineer, leading the development of Cboe FX's Engine2 matching engine. Rylan then moved up to the role of Team Lead, Software Engineering, where they oversaw the implementation of a new FIX engine for order entry gateways at Cboe. Rylan later became a Software Engineering Manager, responsible for overseeing the core Cboe FX platform and improving the execution experience for customers. Rylan was then promoted to Director of Software Engineering before taking on the role of Head of Software Engineering for APAC, where they managed software engineering and QA teams for Cboe Australia and Cboe Japan platforms. Currently, they are serving as the VP, Chief Operating Officer APAC at Cboe, overseeing Technology & Operations teams and serving as a Director on the Cboe Philippines board.

Rylan Uherek holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Rutgers University.
