Evan Fairbanks is an experienced director of photography and camera operator with a diverse portfolio in the film and television industry, currently serving as a DP and camera operator at CBS News since October 2019. Fairbanks also co-produces and serves as a DP for Disappearing NYC, a series focused on the challenges faced by small businesses in the city. With a strong background in archival footage, Fairbanks owns and has licensed a unique 22-minute segment captured during the September 11 attacks. Additional experience includes roles at Jazz at Lincoln Center, American Express, VH1 on the series "Love and Hip Hop," BBC America, and HBO, along with extensive ownership of Fairbanks=Film Inc. since 2001. Fairbanks holds a degree from Baruch College, completed between 1990 and 1994.
