Rhona Tarrant currently serves as the Executive Editor of CBS News Confirmed, an initiative aimed at combating misinformation through data-driven verification and fact-checking. Tarrant's prior experience includes roles at Storyful, where responsibilities ranged from Head of Editorial in the US to Assistant Editor for the EMEA region. Additionally, Tarrant was a Disinformation Fellow at Harvard Law School, leading a project that created Disinfodex to analyze social media influence operations. Tarrant also worked as a Reporter and Producer for RTE, covering significant events like the Brexit referendum and the 2016 US presidential election, and served as an Assistant Producer for WNYC Radio, contributing to investigative reporting on traffic deaths. Educational qualifications include a BA in English and New Media from the University of Limerick, an MA in Journalism and Communication Studies from Griffith College Dublin, and a fellowship at Harvard Law School.
