Anna Satcher Johnson is a seasoned epidemiologist with extensive experience in public health, currently serving as Team Lead and Supervisory Epidemiologist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention since March 2003. In this role, Anna oversees the Data Analysis and Dissemination Team within the HIV Case Surveillance Branch of the Division of HIV Prevention. Previous positions include Senior Epidemiologist and Epidemiologist within various teams focused on HIV incidence and case surveillance. Additionally, Anna has held the rank of Captain in the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps since March 2004, while also working as an Epidemiologist for the Michigan Department of Community Health from 2001 to 2003. Anna holds a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Georgia.
