Kristy T. Hayes, DrPH, MA, is a seasoned public health professional with extensive experience in global health equity and noncommunicable disease initiatives. As the Global Health Equity Officer at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention since 2011, Kristy leads efforts to develop and implement health equity measures, strengthens global partnerships, and promotes data-driven interventions. Prior roles include team lead for the Program Implementation and Capacity Building Team, where Kristy played a pivotal role in the Global Hearts Initiative, and unit manager in the Noncommunicable Disease Unit, overseeing international contracts and strategic planning. Additionally, Kristy has a background in economic analysis for national cancer control programs and served as a Community Health Advisor with the Peace Corps. Kristy's academic credentials include a Doctorate in Public Health and a Master's in Economics from Georgia State University, as well as a Bachelor's in Accounting from Saint Joseph's University.
