Malaika Washington

Malaika Washington has extensive experience in public health and health education, serving in various capacities at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, including Senior Program Liaison, Team Lead, and Health Education Specialist. Additionally, Malaika held the position of Commander in the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps and worked as a Health Scientist/Health Service Officer at CDC. This professional background is complemented by a research fellowship at Penn State University through the NIH Fogarty Minority International Health Research Training program and a summer fellowship at NIH MHIRT. Malaika holds a Master of Science in Public Health with a focus on Health Services Administration from Meharry Medical College and furthered education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
