Shannon Kuhn

Shannon Kuhn, MPH, CHES, currently serves as a Violence Prevention Researcher at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, focusing on economic policy interventions to prevent community violence. Prior experience includes roles as a Global Violence Epidemiology Fellow and Health Scientist within the CDC's National Center for Injury Prevention & Control. Shannon also worked as a Health Communications Specialist during the COVID-19 response with the CDC Foundation and served as a Special Assistant to the Mayor in Anchorage, managing initiatives related to public health and equity. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Health from Tulane University and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from the University of Montana, complemented by various international programs focused on sustainable development and language.
