Subbian Sathesh Panayampalli has extensive experience in the field of immunodiagnostics, currently serving as the Lead for the Immunodiagnostics Team within the Poxvirus and Rabies Branch at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention since June 2013. Prior to this role, Subbian was a Research Fellow and a Fogarty International Visiting Fellow at the Laboratory of Viral Diseases, NIAID, NIH from May 2005 to May 2013. Subbian holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the Indian Institute of Science, earned between 1999 and 2005, and a Master of Science in Integrated Biology from Madurai Kamaraj University, obtained from 1997 to 1999. Undergraduate studies in Biochemistry and Biotechnology were completed at P.S.G. College of Arts & Science from 1994 to 1997.
