Tanya Hamburger is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in health communication and public health. At the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Tanya has held multiple senior roles since November 2004, currently serving as the Deputy Associate Director of Communications for Outbreaks and Emerging Issues, while also contributing as a Lead Health Communication Specialist. Tanya is a Board Member for Our House, Inc. since July 2022 and chairs the Planning and Evaluation Committee. Additionally, Tanya co-founded Community Advanced Practice Nurses, Inc. and served as President of the Board of Directors until July 2022. Tanya holds a Master of Public Health in Behavioral Sciences and Health Education from Emory University Rollins School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Emory University.
