Alan Tomines

Alan Tomines serves as the Medical Director of Information Systems at Cedars-Sinai since December 2017. With extensive experience in health policy and management, Tomines was an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles, from September 2010 to June 2021, and held the position of Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center during the same period. Previous roles include Director of the Child Health and Disability Prevention Program and Medical Director of the Health Care Program for Children in Foster Care at the LA County Department of Public Health. Tomines has contributed to public health informatics as Director of Clinical and Public Health Informatics at the LA County Department of Health Services and held fellowships at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This professional began a career in pediatrics in private practice before completing residency at UC Irvine Medical Center. Alan Tomines holds an MD from the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn and a BS in Cybernetics and Psychobiology from UCLA.
